The DHS ‘D.E.C.I.S.I.O.N-D.E.A.R 2 M.E’ Therapeutic coaching model was established as a coaching tool that enables coaches, parents, adults with ADHD, and educational service providers to easily tackle ADHDers point of performance scenarios.

The DHS ‘D.E.C.I.S.I.O.N_D.E.A.R 2 M.E’ is a transformative coaching model that meets the eleven competencies dictated by the International Coaching Federation. It is based on a thoughtful relationship with the individuals aiming at encouraging them to self-accept and embrace their neurodiversity.

It is a strength-based model, a goal-oriented partnership which encourages the clients to identify their lagging skills.  Consequently, equip them with the tools needed to define their goals, plan, organize, prioritize, and follow action plans that allow them to learn strategies and techniques needed to create a successful journey.

Phases of the DHS  ‘D.E.C.I.S.I.O.N_D.E.A.R 2 M.E’ Therapeutic Coaching Model

The DHS ‘D.E.C.I..SI.O.N_D.E.A.R 2 M.E’ Therapeutic Coaching Model is six to a nine-month program that evolves around four empowerment cycles which span across three semesters:

The model protocol calls for a goal directed action plan developed by the students. Each session is tailored to target the individual’s challenges. It is administered in 40 to 50-minute session a week.

Two Intake sessions aim at connecting with the students and validating their emotions. Subsequent coaching sessions focus on each unsolved problem educating students about their neurodiversity to encourage them to compete with their brain, discover their hidden emotions, to explore tactics and strategies that would help them to self-engage and develop coping skills.

Every session ends up with the “Monitor and Evaluate” component where the students are asked to reflect on their behaviours, evaluate their performance, learn what works for them and what should be altered and make any adjustments needed.

At DHS Coaching & Training, we understand that it can be difficult for people with ADHD to manage their lives and reach their goals. Our therapeutic ADHD coaching services offer a holistic approach that helps you develop the skills and strategies needed to take control of your life and reach your potential

The model focuses on the impact of self-awareness on behavioural change and has evolved around seven critical steps: Describe, Explore, generate Awareness, Reframe thoughts, Reconstruct behaviours, Monitor, and Self-Evaluate. These seven steps help coaches facilitate the four coaching phases ‘AASA’Acceptance, Awareness, Strategize, Accountability, throughout which coaches will be able to:

1st Cycle- Empower their clients to ‘ACCEPT’ and understand the complexity of ADHD as a neurobiological disorder and assess their strengths and weaknesses.

2nd Cycle – Enable their clients’ abilities to generate ‘AWARENESS’ and embrace neurodiversity.

3rd Cycle –Foster a learning journey that encouragesencourage clients to ‘STRATEGIZE’ and build a repertoire of learned strategies and techniques to master challenges and build new lifestyles.

The 4th Cycle – Inspire clients to be ‘ACCOUNTABLE’ to attain self- mastery.
